CODE313 x Star Factory S.T.E.A.M. SLAM School Tour

Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High School

CODE313 and Star Factory brought the S.T.E.A.M. SLAM School Tour to Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High School, delivering a full-scale, immersive STEAM experience to more than 300 students. For one powerful day, the school transformed into a high-energy innovation space where creativity, technology, and hands-on learning collided.

From the moment students walked in, the excitement was undeniable, curiosity, laughter, and discovery filled every corner of the space.

A Full Activation Designed to Engage and Inspire

Students rotated through CODE313’s signature tech activations, each one designed to introduce real-world skills in an accessible, exciting way:

  • Virtual Reality (VR):
Immersive simulations that exposed students to how VR is used across industries like gaming, engineering, healthcare, and aviation.

  • Augmented Reality (AR):
Creative stations where students explored AR design and learned how digital overlays are used in social media, marketing, and digital storytelling.

  • Drone Flight & Simulation:
Hands-on drone experiences that connected students to careers in aviation, robotics, and emerging tech fields.

  • Blaze Pods Reaction Training:
High-energy reaction challenges blending physical movement with data-driven technology, a crowd favorite that kept students engaged and energized
    .

Each station offered students a different entry point into STEAM, allowing them to discover which experiences resonated with them most.

Creating Moments That Spark Possibility

Throughout the day, students asked thoughtful questions about technology, careers, and how they could continue learning beyond the event. Many shared how excited they felt to try similar activities at home or pursue tech-based electives and programs in the future.

Seeing students walk away inspired, confident, and curious is the heart of the S.T.E.A.M. SLAM Tour. When exposure meets opportunity, students begin to see themselves as creators, innovators, and future leaders in tech.

Building the Future, One School at a Time

We’re grateful to Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High School and our partners at Star Factory for helping bring this experience to life. Their support and collaboration made it possible to reach hundreds of students with meaningful, hands-on STEAM learning.

At CODE313, we believe access creates opportunity and opportunities create futures. The excitement we witnessed during this tour stop is exactly why we continue to bring STEAM directly to schools and communities.
