Our Philosophy and Values
With our strong background in education, we understand how early, hands-on experiences can inspire students to dream big—from aviation to space exploration. That’s why we’ve designedproducts and training programs tailored to the needs of modern technical education and today’s rapidly growing career fields. Drone Basketball is an exciting enrichment program that brings together teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation while opening doors to aerospace careers. It is especially designed to expand opportunities for underserved districts, girls, and communities that have historically been excluded from aviation.
01 Accessibility
Teachers and students are excited about drone programs, but FAA requirements and airspace restrictions often create major hurdles. Many teachers may not have prior industry experience to design programs from the ground up. That’s why we created Drone Basketball with step-by-step training and ready-made lesson plans; they give teachers everything they need to confidently run a successful drone program from day one.
02 Teamwork
Drone Basketball brings the energy of a team sport into the world of technology and innovation. Students work together to strategize, problem-solve, and fly with precision during regular games against local schools. Educators are supported by professional professionals, making it easier to build lasting programs. With games hosted by community partners, Drone Basketball creates a shared space where teamwork, learning, and community all take flight.
03 Local Support
Drone Basketball takes the thrill of flying and turns it into a true team sport. Instead of competing alone, every student plays an important role in their group’s success—no matter their skill level. Players rotate through positions and responsibilities, from piloting and strategy to charging batteries and maintaining equipment. By working together, students build collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving skills, learning to adapt quickly and support one another both on and off the court.
Our Philosophy and Values
Drone Basketball is an innovative and rapidly expanding robotics sport that gives
students a hands-on opportunity to develop Career and Technical Education skills. At the same time, it brings Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) to life through real-world, team-based challenges.
Training & Lesson Plans
Proven effective with educators across Michigan, our training workshop provides a comprehensive lesson plan and ongoing support, guiding classrooms step by step as they build, program, and fly their very first drones.
